Job summary

DUAL North America, Inc. is seeking a Senior Vice President in Underwriting for the Healthcare division, based in the Atlanta area with hybrid work options.

You will lead a healthcare underwriting team, shape strategies, and drive profitability through expert risk assessment and portfolio management. The role emphasizes strong leadership, deep underwriting knowledge, and a track record of delivering results in complex, large-scale programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in risk management, finance, business, or related field.
• 8–12 years healthcare underwriting experience.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a small to mid-sized team, handle performance evaluations, hiring, and terminations.
• Define team production goals aligned to division goals and drive execution with direct reports.
• Review referrals from team members and curate a portfolio per UW guidelines.
• Own division-level projects outside core area to gain broader exposure.
• May manage budget for a small team, including staffing and T&E costs.
• Build relationships with capacity providers and key producers to grow business.
• Serve as SME for their business to peers and leadership; apply underwriting principles.
• Ensure annual new and renewal business goals are achieved, with target premium and hit ratios.
• Lead efforts to meet underwriting guidelines, pricing tools, and governance inputs.
