Job summary

UMass Memorial Health Medical Group seeks a Vice President, Administration & Operations to lead operational and administrative performance across the Medical Group. You will partner with chairs and leaders to drive growth, access, and efficiency, while aligning resources with enterprise priorities.

The role oversees budgets, performance dashboards, and workforce planning, and reports to the Senior Vice President, COO. Strong leadership and change-management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Fifteen (15) or more years of progressively responsible leadership experience in a complex healthcare setting.
• Experience overseeing budgets, financial performance, and strategic initiatives.
• Proven ability to partner with physician leaders and executive teams to achieve goals.

Responsibilities

• Provides executive oversight of Medical Group operations, ambulatory practice operations, patient access initiatives, and performance metrics.
• Leads administrative leadership structures, governance, and organizational effectiveness across administrative functions.
• Oversees operating and capital budgets, financial forecasting, and resource optimization.
• Shapes workforce planning, compensation governance, and leadership development for administrative teams.
• Guides organizational transformation, performance improvement, and strategic initiatives with enterprise partners.
• Fosters physician engagement and a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Leads growth strategies, service line development, and network expansion efforts.
• Supports governance, decision-making, and enterprise initiatives as a strategic advisor.
