PIMCO Europe Ltd. seeks a seasoned risk professional to lead operational risk oversight within its ERQM team in Newport Beach. You will mature risk management practices, oversee risk events, and engage senior stakeholders to align with firm-wide risk appetite.

The role requires seven-plus years of experience in alternatives and strong analytical, communication, and IT skills, with a focus on enabling robust risk governance across investment operations.

Competenze

• Undergraduate degree required; MBA, CFA, FRM, or CAIA are a plus.
• Minimum of seven years of experience in alternatives investment management, with knowledge of private equity, private debt, structured finance and real estate.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with ability to influence senior leaders.
• Advanced IT and analytics skills, including use of AI as a tool to drive efficiency.

Mansioni

• Maintain and enhance the enterprise risk management framework across alternative investment strategies and support functions.
• Develop risk policies, standards and risk taxonomies; support governance committees with risk reports and metrics.
• Facilitate risk and control self-assessments across multiple functions; identify control gaps and remediation actions.
• Manage risk events, conduct root-cause analyses and monitor trends to advise on mitigation strategies.
• Develop KRIs and KCIs; produce executive-level risk reporting and communicate significant events to senior stakeholders.
