Job summary

PIMCO in Newport Beach, CA is seeking an experienced risk professional to join the ERQM team. The role focuses on maturing operational risk management across alternative investment operations, ensuring adherence to risk framework and regulatory needs.

You will lead ongoing risk assessment, incident reviews, and provide updates to senior stakeholders; responsibilities include governance framework enhancement, RCSAs, incident management, and risk analytics reporting.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree required; MBA/CFA/FRM/CAIA are a plus.
• Seven years of experience in alternatives investment management.
• Complementary experience in a similar risk management role is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and executive-influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the enterprise risk management framework across alternative investments and related functions.
• Facilitate and challenge RCSAs across multiple departments and track remediation actions.
• Manage risk events, perform root cause analyses and recommend mitigations.
• Develop KRIs, KCIs and provide executive risk reporting and insights.
