Job summary

PIMCO Ltd. - Pacific Investment Management Company is seeking an experienced Enterprise Risk professional to join the ERQM team in Newport Beach.

The role focuses on maturing operational risk management, risk assessment, incident handling, and providing updates to senior stakeholders. Responsibilities include governance framework maintenance, RCSA facilitation across functions, risk event management, and developing KRIs/dashboards.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree required; MBA/CFA/FRM/CAIA considered a plus.
• Minimum seven years of experience in alternatives investment management.
• Strong communication and analytical skills; ability to influence senior leaders.
• Advanced IT and analytics skills including use of AI as a tool.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the enterprise risk management framework across investment strategies and support functions.
• Align risk practices with risk appetite, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
• Develop and maintain risk policies, standards, and taxonomies.
• Prepare reports and metrics for governance committees and stakeholders.
• Facilitate RCSAs across functions and challenge designs of controls.
• Identify gaps, monitor remediation, and track corrective actions.
• Manage collection, investigation, and reporting of risk incidents and trends.
• Develop KRIs, KCIs, and risk dashboards; present to executives.

Education

Undergraduate degree
