Job summary

PIMCO, a global leader in fixed income, seeks an Associate in Investment Operations in Newport Beach, CA to join a dynamic team. You will support the trade lifecycle, data quality, and operational risk controls while learning the fund- and client-facing processes.

Training will cover data gathering, AI usage, and reporting, with opportunities to partner with Portfolio Managers and clients to improve processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to translate complex issues into clear recommendations.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required; SQL knowledge desirable.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-region teams.

Responsibilities

• Identify, measure, monitor, and mitigate operational risk in processes.
• Support trade lifecycle understanding and data quality initiatives.
• Assist Portfolio Managers and clients with operational queries.
• Oversee provider performance and drive process improvements.
• Prepare presentations and management reports for stakeholders.
• Coordinate with custodians, brokers, Legal & Compliance and other teams.
