Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Toledo is seeking a Vice President of Development to lead strategy, relationships, and a high-performing team. Working with the President & CEO, you will advance a multi-year plan spanning annual giving, major gifts, corporate and foundation support, donor stewardship, and fundraising events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 7–10 years of progressive fundraising experience with major gifts.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding fundraising goals.
• Experience leading staff and collaborating with executive leadership and Boards.
• CFRE or similar credential preferred but not required.
• Experience with donor databases and fundraising CRMs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead execution of an annual resource development plan including annual campaign and major gift program.
• Build and manage a personal major gift portfolio with a plan to assume ownership of key donor relationships.
• Lead donor cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and retention using metrics-based moves management.
• Partner with the President/CEO on donor strategy for growth initiatives including mergers or shared services.
• Set fundraising goals and integrate special events into the donor cultivation plan.
• Identify and cultivate prospects across individual, corporate, and foundation sources.
• Supervise the development team and manage revenue targets.
• Coordinate donor data, moves management, and stewardship communications.
• Support board fundraising through education and training.
• Own accountability for revenue goals and provide forecasts and pipeline reports.
