Citi’s Business & Corporate Communications Senior Lead (SVP) will steer integrated communications for U.S. Retail Banking and Citigold from New York, translating business priorities into compelling narratives for clients, employees and media.

The role partners with senior executives to shape messaging, thought leadership, and external positioning. The selected candidate will manage a team, budget and planning, ensuring consistency of messaging across channels and collaborating with Marketing,

Qualifications

• Knowledge of communications and 10+ years of experience.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication, with diplomacy and ability to influence senior executives.

• Advise leadership on communications implications of business decisions and external developments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute integrated communications strategies that advance Citi's Retail Banking and Citigold priorities.
• Provide strategic counsel on business initiatives, market developments, and reputational issues.
• Translate complex business strategies into compelling narratives for clients, employees, media, and key stakeholders.
• Partner with senior executives to develop messaging, thought leadership, speeches, employee communications, and external positioning.
• Elevate the profiles of Retail Banking and Citigold leaders through speaking opportunities, media engagement, and content development.
• Provide communications support for key business milestones, product launches, client events, and industry conferences.
• Lead proactive media outreach and reactive media response efforts related to Retail Banking and Citigold.
• Build and maintain relationships with top-tier financial, business, consumer, and trade media.
• Anticipate and manage reputational risks, developing messaging for sensitive issues and emerging topics.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Public Affairs, Investor Relations, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Wealth Communications partners to ensure messaging consistency.
• Influence senior stakeholders and align communications strategies across multiple business functions.
