Arch Insurance Group Inc. in Jersey City seeks a Controller to lead the accounting and financial reporting for the North America region.

You will ensure the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of GAAP reporting, establish a strong control environment, and partner with the CFO and other leaders to translate complex transactions into clear financial outcomes. The role requires building high-performing teams, driving close processes, implementing process improvements, and guiding external audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• Progressive accounting and financial reporting leadership in a complex organization.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience with insurance accounting and statutory accounting principles preferred.
• Experience leading financial close, external audits, internal controls, and technical accounting activities.
• Ability to evaluate complex accounting matters and communicate conclusions to executive audiences.

Responsabilités

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes with timely reporting.
• Maintain policies, procedures, and governance for accounting.
• Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements.
• Coordinate audits, footnotes, and external reporting with the Board and regulators.
• Drive continuous improvement, standardization, and automation of accounting.
