Job summary

Arch Reinsurance Company in Morristown, NJ, is seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager to lead core accounting functions and ensure accurate financial records. You will oversee monthly close, support reporting, and uphold U.S. GAAP and internal controls.

You will collaborate with FP&A, Tax, Treasury and business stakeholders, drive process improvements, and enhance ERP system controls. A strong background in corporate accounting and public company environments is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 6–10 years of progressive accounting experience; public company experience preferred.
• Experience in (re)insurance or financial services environment is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Manage core accounting functions and ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial records.
• Oversee monthly close processes and support financial reporting activities.
• Maintain SOX compliance, documentation, walkthroughs, testing, and remediation.
• Coordinate with FP&A, Tax, Treasury and business stakeholders on accounting matters.
• Drive process improvements, ERP enhancements, and controls optimization.
• Manage journal entries, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
