Job summary

Inergroup is leading a confidential search for a VP of Operations experienced in delivering complex, mission-critical construction projects across the DFW area, including airports, transportation, rail, healthcare buildings, education facilities, and major commercial work.

This role requires a seasoned operational leader who can drive consistency, safety, and execution across a diverse project portfolio while partnering with senior leadership to ensure profitability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15+ years of progressive leadership in commercial construction.
• Experience managing large, complex infrastructure and mission-critical projects.
• Proven ability to lead operations for a GC or construction management firm.
• Strong financial acumen including P&L, forecasting, and margin performance.
• Exceptional leadership and executive communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preconstruction, estimating, project management, field ops, safety, quality, scheduling, and controls.
• Establish operational strategy aligned with goals and client expectations.
• Lead crisis response and high-risk situations with clarity and professionalism.
• Partner with Corporate Finance and Accounting to achieve financial goals.
• Accountable for P&L performance, budgets, forecasting and cost-of-sales management.
• Implement policies and drive continuous improvement across projects.
• Prepare and present weekly operational updates to the CEO and leadership.
• Report on project status, backlog, risks, staffing, and corrective actions.
• Communicate with executives, teams, clients, and stakeholders in writting and meetings.
• Develop relationships with partners to support growth.
