Job summary

Wintrust Financial Corporation, a diversified bank holding company, is seeking a Senior Commercial Credit Manager in Illinois to grow and manage client relationships.

The role focuses on overseeing loan and deposit growth, cross-selling, and portfolio management for mid-market businesses. You will negotiate loan terms, maintain compliant files, and build a strong referral network. A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of credit experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field.
• Minimum 5 year’s commercial credit and lending experience.
• Prior B2B, small business banking, or outside sales experience in financial services.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with proven client relationship abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills with proactive workflow management.

Responsibilities

• Manage annual goals tied to loan and deposit volume, cross-sales, call planning/prospecting, and fee income generation.
• Grow and manage customer relationships with businesses that generally have up to $25M in revenue.
• Nurture and develop existing portfolio by assessing and meeting client’s business and personal needs.
• Negotiate proper loan structure and effectively cross sell products.
• Maintain properly documented files and manage renewals and collection efforts on past dues and defaulted loans.
• Build and manage a professional network of COI’s and referral sources.
• Maintain a stable network of prospective customers with a consistent calling approach.
