Job summary

Stoke Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Vice President, Accounting and Corporate Controller to own Stoke's global accounting operations, external financial reporting, and internal control environment as we move toward commercial-stage operations. This role partners with the CFO and executive leadership to shape financial strategy and execution.

The successful candidate will bring extensive SEC reporting, SOX, and US GAAP depth, with life sciences experience, and a proven ability to build scalable

Qualifications

• CPA certification required; 15+ years of progressive finance leadership.
• Extensive SEC reporting, SOX 404 compliance and US GAAP experience in life sciences.
• Experience building scalable teams, processes and systems in a high-growth public company.

Responsibilities

• Oversee global accounting operations, close process, and controller function.
• Lead SEC filings (10-K/10-Q/8-K) and external reporting.
• Serve as senior technical accounting authority on GTN, distributor arrangements and CDAs.
• Drive internal controls framework and SOX compliance across the organization.
• Lead inventory, cost accounting, and 3PL oversight for clinical and commercial operations.
• Oversee corporate tax, ASC 740, and R&D tax credit strategy.
• Lead external audit relations and Audit Committee communications.
• Prepare for commercial launch readiness with scalable systems and processes.
