For our client, we are seeking a Senior Vice President, Accounting and Corporate Controller to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.

This senior leader will own global accounting operations and serve as the technical accounting authority across a public-company environment. The role will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of SEC reporting, strengthening controls, and supporting the company’s transition into commercial-scale operations. You will partner closely with the CFO, Legal, external auditors, and other cross-functional leaders to deliver accurate reporting, strong governance, and readiness for launch and growth.

Location: Bedford, MA

Compensation: $360,000 – $440,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead global accounting operations, ensuring support for commercial-scale operations
• Establish governance and performance standards for an efficient close process
• Own the integrity and quality of all SEC filings, ensuring compliance with US GAAP
• Partner with the CFO and Legal on disclosure controls and Audit Committee reporting
• Serve as the senior technical accounting authority on complex transactions
• Maintain and strengthen the internal control framework in compliance with SOX
• Direct accounting for clinical and commercial inventory, overseeing third-party logistics partners
• Oversee corporate tax compliance and support treasury management policies
• Act as the primary liaison to external auditors, leading audits with accountability
• Lead finance readiness for commercial launch, ensuring systems and controls are in place
• Build and retain a high-performing finance organization with a culture of accountability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• CPA required
• MBA or advanced degree preferred
• Experience at a Big 4 Accounting firm preferred
• 15+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including significant leadership experience as a Corporate Controller or Chief Accounting Officer at a public company
• Demonstrated expertise in SEC reporting, SOX 404 compliance, and US GAAP, with life sciences or biotechnology experience preferred
• Proven experience supporting a company through commercial launch, including revenue recognition (ASC 606) and GTN accounting
• Track record of building scalable teams and processes in a high-growth environment
• Exceptional judgment, executive presence, and communication skills
