Job summary

SNC is seeking a Voice Network Engineer II to enhance enterprise network and voice systems, including IP telephony, SBCs, and VoIP. You will work with senior engineers on escalated issues and security processes, ensuring robust, scalable network services.

Responsibilities include configuring routers/switches, maintaining SLAs, documenting network diagrams, and participating in on-call rotation. A Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experience are required, with DoD clearance eligibility a

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• 5+ years of experience in a related field
• In absence of degree, minimum 6 years of related experience
• Experience with voice systems (CUCM, MS Teams) and SIP trunking
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
• Proficiency with switching equipment and wireless/VPN implementations

Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and support enterprise network infrastructure including LAN/WAN/WLAN/SD-WAN and data center networking
• Provide advanced support for voice systems: IP telephony, call routing, SBC administration, VoIP troubleshooting
• Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers
• Troubleshoot complex network and voice issues; perform root-cause analysis
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to escalated incidents
• Work with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve service issues and upgrades
• Assist in network/voice projects: deployments, migrations, modernization
• Ensure security standards, change-control procedures
• Maintain network diagrams, configurations, support procedures
• Recommend improvements for performance, scalability, reliability
