Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Systems Development Engineer for the VMware team to design and build scalable capabilities for running VMware workloads on AWS. You will collaborate with builders and leaders to shape features, architecture, and operations at cloud scale.

In this role, you will prototype and ship software-defined networking and automation tools, contribute to product definitions, and engage with customers to ensure their needs are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 6+ years designing or architecting large-scale systems with reliability and scalability.
• Hands-on experience with VMware tech including ESXi, vSAN, NSX and VCF.

Responsibilities

• As a SysDE in the VMware team, work with engineers and leaders to create new capabilities for VMware workloads on AWS.
• Lead performance testing and drive continuous improvements of AWS infrastructure for VMware workloads.
• Design and implement software-defined networking solutions for flexible, programmable networks.
