Job summary

Amazon is seeking a System Development Engineer to join a global Data Center Engineering team. You will design, develop, automate, and continuously innovate within a rapidly expanding data center footprint, owning critical control systems that scale compute capacity and improve uptime.

You will work with cross-functional groups across AWS, influencing product design and delivering reliable, cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years programming in modern languages (C++, Java, Python, etc.)
• 4+ years professional software development experience
• 2+ years designing or architecting scalable systems

Responsibilities

• Work in a cross-disciplinary setting with ability to influence and drive others.
• Impact product design/solutions with your work.
• Advise peer engineers and management teams.
• Make technical trade-offs between short-term goals and long-term business needs.
