Job summary

Donnelly- seeks a VMware/Nutanix Administrator contractor for a 12+ month engagement in NYC’s West End (10023). Position is fully onsite five days a week and requires passing a NERC CIP background check with two references.

The ideal candidate will design and implement VMware vSphere and Nutanix environments, manage clusters, and support migration to Nutanix AHV. Candidates should have Windows/Linux server administration, AD management, and scripting for automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT with minimum 5 years IT support experience.
• Require valid driver’s license.
• Contract: 12+ month onsite in NYC (West End, 10023).
• Background check: pass NERC CIP Personnel Risk Assessment; provide 2 recent references.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement VMware vSphere and Nutanix environments.
• Manage Nutanix clusters and provide Nutanix administration support.
• Perform Nutanix AHV migration and related hypervisor migrations.
• Maintain Windows Server and Linux OS, AD management, backup and recovery.
• Develop automation scripts to streamline routine tasks.
• Monitor system health and performance, identify bottlenecks, and lead optimizations.
• Plan and test disaster recovery procedures, backups and restores.

Our Utility Client needs a 12+month contractor 5 days a week on the West End of NYC (10023) for a strong VMWare Nutanix Administrator.

Must have a valid driver’s license.

This position isfullyonsite,5 days a week

Selected candidate will require passing of NERC CIP Personnel Risk Assessment background check. We would also like to get 2 references from the most recent roles the applicant has worked. Contracting agency please provide photos of applicant - if selected they would need to pass a virtual and in-person interview.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Seeking a highly motivated candidate who demonstrates commitment to customer service and possesses strong technical skills and proficiency working with:

• Windows Server operating systems,Linux Operating Systems,users administration, file system, software, and services
• Understanding of servers and various storage RAID configuration
• Active Directory management, including backup and recovery of domain and GPO setup

The successful candidate shouldpossessstrong technical knowledge of various computing platforms from servers, networks,storageincluding scripting experience for automation. Must have the ability to lift/transport server equipment when needed. Must be able to provide off-hour, on-call support for server and other system related issues thatrequirestravel to various supported sites. Must be willing and able to work overtime and be flexible with work hours to respond to emergencies or scheduled work that must be done either prior to or after normal business hours. Must have the means and be able to travel to various Company locations.
