Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Senior Computer Systems Engineer/Architect to deliver VMware, Linux, Windows infrastructure support for a U.S. DHHS contract. The role requires on-site presence in a government facility with telework and occasional DC data-center work, within commuting distance.

The engineer will design and implement hybrid or cloud-only solutions, perform health checks, patch management, and support enterprise-level virtualization and storage environments. Candidates must be U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 5 years of relevant experience or 9 years with a high school diploma.
• Experience with VMware technologies including Horizon, vCenter, vSphere, SRM, vRealize, AirWatch/Workspace ONE.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Active Directory, MECM, Office 365 and Azure.
• Strong system design, architecture and solution development skills; capable of working in VMware, Linux and Windows environments.

Responsibilities

• Support VMware, Linux, Windows systems, storage and infrastructure in enterprise settings.
• Perform performance monitoring, troubleshooting, system testing, OS upgrades, backups and patching.
• Provide day-to-day health checks and patch management; review events in management tools.
• Collaborate with Government representatives and conduct system audits and decommissioning as needed.
