Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Senior Computer Systems Engineer/Architect to support VMware, Linux, Windows environments within a government contracting setting. The role involves design, implementation, and operational support of enterprise IT services for a DHHS program, with onsite and telework components from DC and Ashburn, VA.

The ideal candidate has strong VMware, Windows, and RHEL experience, plus familiarity with Active Directory, MECM, Azure, and PowerShell. U.S.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience or 9 years of experience with a high school diploma.
Experience with VMware technologies including AirWatch Workspace ONE, Horizon, PIV-D, SRM, vCloud Suite, vRealize, vCenter, and vSphere.
Must have experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, MECM, Office 365, Azure, and RHEL.

Responsibilities

Provide VMware, Linux, and Windows systems support in a hybrid enterprise environment.
Perform daily health checks, patch management, backups, and system testing.
Design, implement, and optimize virtualization and storage infrastructure, including cloud migration planning.
Collaborate with Government representatives and maintain clear communication on issues affecting performance.
