Job summary
PGTEK is seeking a Senior Virtualization Engineer to support a major VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9 deployment at Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts. This role will play a key implementation and engineering function, supporting the deployment of VCF across NIPR ISN, SIPR ISN, and other programs enabling AFLCMC/HNI and the 83rd NOS.
The engineer will administer, upgrade, troubleshoot, and provide ongoing technical support across VMware VCF environments.
Qualifications
- Hands-on VMware technologies experience.
- Deep understanding of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
- Experience implementing and supporting enterprise VMware environments.
- Active Secret clearance required.
- VCP certification required.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Onsite at Hanscom AFB, MA.
Responsibilities
- Support the deployment of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9 in target ISNs.
- Translate designs into working VCF implementations and configurations.
- Administer, configure, and maintain VMware VCF environments.
- Assist with VCF upgrades, patches, and lifecycle activities.
- Troubleshoot VMware virtualization and VCF issues.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to maintain the environment.
- Document configurations and operational procedures.
