Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a DBA III to design, develop, implement, monitor and maintain complex databases at the Broadmoor Campus in Kansas. You will lead standards to maximize performance, integrity and recoverability while collaborating with Data Architecture, BI, Software Engineering and Data Warehousing teams.

Ideal candidates have 12+ years of production DB experience (SQL 2012–2016 or EPIC Intersystems Cache), proficiency with Always On, AIX/Windows Server, and

Qualifications

12 years of Database Administrator experience in production environments (SQL 2012–2016 or Epic Intersystems Cache).
Experience with SQL Always On technologies.
Experience with AIX and Windows Server platforms.
Fluent English language skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, implement, monitor and maintain databases.
Lead standards and procedures for performance, integrity and recoverability.
Install patches, create/modify database objects and perform ETL.
Monitor alerts, performance, replication and resource usage.
Ensure backups and uptime SLAs; document changes.
