Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Database Administrator III to design, implement, monitor, and maintain enterprise databases at Broadmoor Campus. You will lead standards for performance, data integrity, and recoverability while collaborating with Data Architecture, BI, Software Engineering, and Data Warehousing teams.

The role requires extensive SQL Server experience, on-call support, and expertise with AIX and Windows Server platforms.

Qualifications

• 12 years of Database Administrator experience in production environments with SQL 2012–2016.
• Experience with SQL Always On technologies.
• Experience with AIX and Windows server platforms.
• Fluent English in reading, writing, and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, monitor, and maintain databases.
• Lead in standards and procedures for performance, data integrity and recoverability.
• Install patches, upgrades, and modify database objects.
• Monitor alerts, replication, and resource utilization; ensure uptime.
