Job summary

Arizona Department of Health Services seeks a senior Program Administrator to oversee the statewide Vital Records system, including birth, death, and fetal death registrations and issuance. The role leads a customer service team, supervises staff and contractors, and ensures compliance with state laws and agency policies.

The position reports to the Assistant State Registrar & Chief and collaborates with legal and other agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Public Health or closely related field is preferred.
• Leadership experience is preferred and may count toward years of leadership.
• Strong supervisory and team-management capabilities are required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee statewide system of Vital Records operations and issuance.
• Lead and coach the statewide customer service team handling calls and lobby traffic.
• Ensure compliance with statutes, rules, and policies governing Vital Records.
