Job summary

HTC Global Services seeks a Senior COBOL Programmer / Team Lead for Phoenix Infrastructure to maintain and develop core DMV systems. You will lead a development team, translate business specs into technical designs, and provide L3 production support for a Windows-based client-server COBOL/ .NET environment.

Required are 10+ years in Visual COBOL, strong system analysis and leadership experience, and CJIS security knowledge. Government/ DMV context is a plus.

Qualifications

• This role requires 10+ years of Visual COBOL V9+ experience with architecture and programming.
• Extensive experience in system analysis, design, coding, testing, and implementation techniques.
• Proven track record leading a technical software development team in a Windows-based Client-Server environment.
• Expertise in COBOL-based business systems within Oracle SQL databases.
• Experience providing Level 3 production support.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the Phoenix core business system and tickets for development or modification.
• Lead analysis and propose solutions for projects.
• Collaborate with business units to develop specifications and obtain sign-off.
• Translate business specifications into technical specs and ensure delivery of functionality.
• Code, test, promote, and interact with users to meet requirements.
• Provide production support for the Phoenix system.
• Mentor less experienced colleagues and guide project planning and execution.
• Serve as primary liaison with business units for specifications and delivery.
