Jobtailor seeks a seasoned video/photography professional to cover military and Public Affairs events across Oahu. You will operate a three-camera PTZ setup, produce 4K video and high‑quality photography, and deliver MP4 files within 30 minutes of events.

Expect ~28 annual events with tight turnaround at or after each assignment. Proficiency in Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Lightroom is essential, along with strong communication, organization, and the ability to travel and work flexible hours.

Qualifications

Advanced technical proficiency in video and photography production.
Expertise in video switching systems, feed monitoring, recording workflows, media file management, and content delivery processes.
Comprehensive knowledge of 4K video acquisition and MP4 production techniques.
Advanced photography skills, including composition, exposure, lenses, lighting, and event documentation.
Proven ability to troubleshoot production-equipment issues in high-pressure environments.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation for travel throughout Oahu.
Ability to meet all access requirements for military installations.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, adapt to changing priorities, and work independently and on a multifunctional team.
Ability to handle sensitive information appropriately.
Knowledge of Army or military Public Affairs environments and protocols preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive video and photography services for military and Public Affairs events.
Operate and manage a three-camera PTZ/remote configuration with live feed switching.
Record and deliver MP4 productions within 30 minutes of event completion.
Cover approximately 28 annual events and deliver finals at event conclusion or within 24 hours.
Support livestream/multicast production and distributed delivery.
Attend events across Oahu, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and multi-day assignments.
Report to the Program Manager.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Provide comprehensive video and photography services for military and Public Affairs events
Capture and produce high-definition 4K video and professional-grade photographs
Operate and manage a three-camera configuration with PTZ/remote cameras, framing, presets, and real-time feed switching
Record and deliver MP4 productions, typically within 30 minutes of event completion
Cover approximately 28 annual still-photography events and deliver finalized files at the event conclusion or within 24 hours
Support event preparation through reviews, rehearsals, and equipment checks
Collaborate with Government and Public Affairs subject-matter experts on shot lists, ceremony protocols, and senior-leader movements
Set up, configure, test, operate, and break down professional production equipment
Perform equipment maintenance, firmware updates, system testing, troubleshooting, cleanliness checks, and readiness verifications
Maintain file management for raw footage, photography deliverables, removable media, and customer materials
Support livestream/multicast production and simultaneous digital distribution
Attend scheduled events across Oahu, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and multi-day assignments as needed
Report to the Program Manager
Perform other duties as assigned

Bachelor's degree in Film, Television Production, Photography, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, Broadcast Production, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience may substitute for the education requirement
10+ years of professional experience in video production and photography preferred
Experience with U.S. Government, Department of Defense, military Public Affairs, corporate executive-event coverage, or defense contractor services preferred
Familiarity with military ceremonies, change-of-command events, conferences, and senior-leader engagements preferred
Skilled in PTZ camera systems, hardware video switchers, and livestream/multicast production workflows preferred
Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, and Media Encoder preferred
Knowledge of Army or military Public Affairs environments and protocols preferred
