Motorola Solutions in the United States seeks an Alta Video Escalations Engineer to bridge between our customer-facing support team and R&D. You will investigate, solve and manage complex cloud video security issues, collaborating with engineering, product test, sales and partners to reproduce and diagnose problems.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of engineering or technical support experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• Experience with Linux, APIs, Python.
• Experience with video surveillance solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to test new products and identify bugs.

Responsibilities

• Become an expert on all products and related industry products.
• Take ownership of escalated support issues and ensure each one is resolved within SLA.
• Gather accurate descriptions of environments and symptoms seen by customers to minimize dev/test times.
• Reproduce customer issues in our lab and troubleshoot complex issues by analyzing logs.
• Engage with development and test teams to demonstrate how to reproduce problems.
• Test code changes and verify fixes.
• Provide accurate status updates to customers and escalate where needed.
• Contribute to documentation efforts for product and support content.
• Occasionally undertake site visits to customer locations.
