Job description

The client seeks a dynamic, data-driven Senior Vice President of Development Data, Operations, and Technology to join the Development Senior Leadership team. This executive role supports the philanthropic infrastructure that enables fundraising efforts by providing strategic leadership for foundational systems, data architecture, and actionable insights. The SVP will help reimagine the development program and consolidate dispersed operations and technology functions within The client’s National Office to support federation fundraising goals.

As the backbone of development data and operations, the SVP will own development technology strategy and the development systems roadmap, including development data governance, CRM administration and optimization, fundraising analytics and business intelligence, prospect research and prospect management, revenue operations and gift processing, and development reporting. The role also includes development technology vendor strategy and driving investment priorities aligned to the program’s needs. The SVP leads a team of approximately 62 professionals and is expected to partner closely with the Chief Development Officer in strengthening development capabilities and decision-making.

Desired outcomes include improved data quality and governance, increased fundraising efficiency, improved reporting timeliness, reduced manual processing, increased fundraiser adoption of tools, and stronger service-level performance. The SVP will support development decision-making with reliable insights that improve donor retention and conversion, helping The client’s fundraising organization operate with robust, scalable, and best-in-class systems and processes.
