Job summary

Janux Therapeutics, Inc. seeks a Vice President/Senior Vice President, Clinical Development to lead the autoimmune portfolio and set the strategy for clinical programs. You will drive execution, oversee medical monitoring, and partner with internal and external stakeholders to advance the pipeline.

The role requires a proven senior clinical leader with immunology expertise, strong communication, and the ability to build cross-functional teams in a biotech environment. Hybrid in San Diego.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with subspecialty in immunology or autoimmune diseases.
• Senior clinical leader experience in pharma/biotech with immunology focus.
• Strong track record in clinical development, portfolio leadership, cross-functional teams.
• Innovative, entrepreneurial mindset with change leadership.
• Deep understanding of early drug development and regulatory requirements in immunology.

Responsibilities

• Set and execute the strategic vision for clinical development in autoimmune diseases, aligning with corporate goals and maximizing portfolio value.
• Lead cross-functional teams in design and implementation of clinical development strategies focusing on innovation and speed to market.
• Oversee clinical program execution at a strategic level and delegate to clinical teams.
• Maintain accountability for medical monitoring and patient safety, delegating day-to-day monitoring.
• Provide guidance on trial design, regulatory strategy, and data interpretation.
• Serve as primary medical/scientific spokesperson for immunology, internally and externally.
• Cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders and external partners to advance the pipeline.
• Drive organizational growth, talent development, and succession planning within clinical development.
• Other duties as deemed essential
