Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a VFD Technician to keep critical industrial VFDs and motor control systems running 24/7. You will join the Maintenance Team to execute preventive maintenance, diagnose faults, and drive reliability improvements across LV/MV electrical assets.

The role requires 7+ years in industrial electrical environments and 3+ years with VFDs (Yaskawa/Mitsubishi preferred). On-site work with safety procedures (LOTO/70E) is essential.

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years working on industrial electrical systems (LV/MV power distribution, controls, or facilities maintenance) in an operational facility.
• 3+ years maintaining industrial VFDs (Yaskawa and Mitsubishi preferred).
• Strong understanding of electrical fundamentals, schematics, and troubleshooting methods.
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair electrical equipment (switchgear, VFDs, UPS, motors, relays).
• Experience with LOTO and NFPA 70E or equivalent safety practices.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or electrical license preferred.

Aufgaben

• Inspect, commission, maintain and troubleshoot industrial VFD and motor control systems.
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance (PM/TBM) on all electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and restore electrical equipment and power distribution systems.
• Own reliability for assigned systems/areas and drive corrective actions.
• Support commissioning, energization, and system validation activities.
• Maintain accurate work orders, asset data, and documentation in iEMS.
• Perform all work in compliance with safety procedures (LOTO / EEW).
