Job summary
Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a VFD Technician to ensure continuous operation of VFDs across the site. The role supports the Maintenance Team, including Network, Generator, and Protection Relay Technicians, with 24/7 availability for emergencies.
The candidate will inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot VFD and motor control systems, perform PM/TBM, and ensure safety compliance (LOTO / NFPA 70E). On-site base pay ranges with comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications
- 7+ years working on industrial electrical systems in an operational facility.
- 3+ years maintaining industrial VFDs (Yaskawa and Mitsubishi preferred).
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or electrical license preferred.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, commission, maintain and troubleshoot industrial VFD and motor control systems.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot and restore electrical equipment and power distribution systems.
- Own reliability for assigned systems/areas and drive corrective actions.
- Support commissioning, energization, and system validation activities.
- Maintain accurate work orders and asset data in iEMS.
