Temple University seeks a Senior Veterinary Technician (V17) to manage daily health checks, anesthesia, and perioperative care for ULAR animal colonies. You will train staff, assist veterinarians, and ensure accurate record keeping.

The role requires on-site work and collaboration across research teams in a dynamic environment. The candidate should have an Associate's degree in life sciences and at least one year of veterinary technician experience, with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in life science or related discipline and at least one year experience as a veterinary technician or related experience.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsabilités

• Provide pre-, peri-, and post-operative animal care with associated husbandry.
• Purchase and maintenance of drugs, supplies and equipment.
• Surgery setup including disinfection and autoclaving of supplies, equipment and rooms.
• Proper record keeping including SOPs, drug usage, and medical records.
• Maintenance of surgery O.R.s, procedure rooms and prep areas.
• Proper medical waste disposal and final disposition of animals.
