Job summary

LTIMindtree is seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with 5–7 years of hands-on experience in Vertica, Sybase ASE and Sybase IQ. The role focuses on database administration, performance optimization, backup/recovery, security management, high availability, replication and production support.

The ideal candidate will have strong Linux/Unix expertise, SQL tuning skills and proven ability to manage the database lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years hands-on experience in Vertica, Sybase ASE and Sybase IQ environments.
• Experience in Linux/Unix environments.
• Strong SQL tuning, troubleshooting and end-to-end database lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade and maintain Vertica, Sybase ASE and Sybase IQ databases.
• Monitor database health, availability and performance.
• Perform database performance tuning and capacity planning.
• Manage backup, recovery and disaster recovery processes.
• Implement and support high availability, clustering and replication.
• Troubleshoot database issues and provide production support.
• Ensure database security and user access management.
• Plan and execute migrations, patches and upgrades.
• Create and maintain documentation and runbooks.
• Collaborate with application, infra and support teams for service delivery.
• Support automation and scripting for DB admin tasks.
