Job summary

Job description-Database Administrators Sybase MSSql

Direct Responsibilities

• Responsible for installation, configuration and managing the database (Sybase) servers and applying the security patches. SYBASE ASE & SYABSE IQ
• Remediating the vulnerabilities. Database performance tuning.
• In addition, also provide and maintain the high availability (Clustering) and BCP/DR Recovery database solutions.
• Responsible to develop ITIP Information Management Dashboards including risk analysis, current projects etc for different functions / clients.
• Establish excellent working relationships with different functions across various regions.
• Ensure rigorous follow up and communication to stakeholders on estimated delivery timelines of Projects.
• Analytical mindset in troubleshooting and resolving database problems.
• Good understanding in Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.

Contributing Responsibilities

• Develop assess and select proper strategy for the projects considering performance, Cost, Time and Scope Constraints.
• Responsible to follow up and closing on all risk item identified by IG Audit or any other internal and external audits.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

• Sybase DBA with experience on Linux , PostgreSQL desirable. Good Knowledge in Performance tuning and Sybase IQ will be added advantage.
• Working experience on Cloud is desirable.
