Job summary

Southend Pharmacy is seeking an experienced Verification Pharmacist to join our growing operations team. This role ensures clinical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and quality verification of compounded medications prior to dispensing.

You will review prescriptions, verify medications, and collaborate with technicians, QA, and leadership in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has strong clinical judgment, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work onsite with a flexible

Qualifications

• D.Pharm or B.Pharm from ACPE-accredited school.
• Active, unrestricted pharmacist license.
• Minimum four years in retail/compounding/high-volume settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform final pharmacist verification of compounded prescriptions.
• Verify orders for clinical appropriateness and labeling.
• Review documentation, MFRs, batch records for accuracy.
• Collaborate with technicians to maintain workflow and quality.
• Ensure compliance with USP standards, DEA, HIPAA.
• Provide guidance to technicians on regulatory requirements.
