Job summary

Southend Pharmacy is seeking a Verification Pharmacist to ensure clinical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and quality verification of compounded medications before dispensing. This onsite role requires reviewing prescriptions, verifying formulations, and collaborating with technicians to maintain patient safety in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate holds a Pharm.D.

or B.S. in Pharmacy, possesses an active Texas license, and has at least four years of licensed pharmacist

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited school.
• Active, unrestricted Texas Pharmacist License in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
• Minimum of four (4) years of licensed pharmacist experience in a retail, specialty, compounding, hospital, or high-volume pharmacy environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform final pharmacist verification of compounded prescriptions prior to dispensing, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Verify prescription orders for clinical appropriateness, dosage accuracy, patient information, drug interactions and labeling requirements.
• Review compounded medications for adherence to USP standards, Texas Board regulations, DEA requirements and internal SOPs.
• Ensure all documentation, records, and quality documentation are complete and accurate.
• Collaborate with technicians to maintain efficient workflow and uphold quality standards.
