Job summary

Enphase Energy is seeking an experienced Verification Engineer to validate a custom RISC-V VLIW processor architecture powering next-gen energy control systems. You will ensure deterministic operation across the compute stack, including hardware pipelines, ISA extensions, and compiler-generated schedules.

This role blends processor architecture, hardware verification, and control systems, working with RTL, firmware, and software teams to develop robust verification methodologies and mixed-signal

Qualifications

• PhD or Master's with extensive industry experience required.
• Strong understanding of processor architecture and microarchitectures.
• Experience with SystemVerilog verification environments and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop verification strategies for a custom RISC-V VLIW processor and ISA extensions.
• Create SystemVerilog-based verification environments, assertions, checkers, scoreboards and coverage models.
• Verify pipeline correctness, instruction scheduling, memory interactions and exceptions.
• Develop trace-based validation for deterministic real-time control.
• Analyze traces, schedules, waveform data and performance metrics to diagnose issues.
• Collaborate with compiler engineers on code generation and ISA utilization.
• Drive co-verification across RTL, compiler, firmware and hardware teams.
• Contribute to mixed-signal verification environments with RTL RNM and analog models.
• Validate closed-loop control behavior and timing determinism.
• Support automation, regression, and debug tooling; document insights.
