Amazon is looking for an entrepreneurial Senior Vendor Manager who will own the P&L and relationships with some of the largest vendors in Shoes. The Senior Vendor Manager will utilize a wide range of skills and work across major functional areas such as inventory management, marketing, merchandising, pricing, operations, and finance to drive the performance of vendor partners and will also act as the vertical lead for a category within Shoes.
As a Senior Vendor Manager, you will be accountable for business results across the vendors and categories you manage. Your direct responsibility will be to manage performance of the product portfolio including developing vendor relationships, negotiating terms and contracts, expanding product selection, setting prices, setting inventory forecasts, developing marketing programs, driving sales and margin improvements, and creating a best-in-class customer experience.
The successful candidate will be able to take their broad skill-set and experience across multiple facets of retail to drive a successful business. They will be able to deliver results at both a strategic and tactical level across all aspects of the business, innovate and overcome hurdles, and achieve profitable long-term growth. They will also have strong verbal and written communication skills and work effectively with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
Key job responsibilities:
- 5+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL
- Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
- Experience with business analysis and P&L management
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
