Job summary

BRP US Inc. in Palm Bay, FL is seeking a Senior Test Technician (Vehicle Validation & Instrumentation) to lead testing of prototype recreational vehicles.

You will prepare, measure, and execute field and lab tests, partnering with engineering to ensure quality and reliability throughout development. The role requires an associate degree in a related field, 5+ years in instrumentation, and hands-on experience with sensors, DAQ systems, CAN bus, and regulatory testing.

Qualifications

• AS/AS or equivalent in Instrumentation & Control or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in instrumentation and data acquisition for vehicle development.
• Experience with sensors, CAN bus configuration, and test bench setups.
• Valid licensing/permits to operate recreational vehicles (ATV/SSV).

Responsibilities

• Translate requirements into precise testing objectives and instrumentation designs.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute testing in lab and external sites.
• Configure sensors, strain gauges, and measurement equipment for testing.
• Program data acquisition systems (Somat eDAQ, Ipetronik, Siemens, IMC) and CAN networks.
• Operate test vehicles and capture visual/telemetry data; conduct certification tests.
• Validate data quality, troubleshoot faults, and advise engineers on improvements.
