Lucid Motors is seeking a Technical Specialist, Vehicle Systems Modeling, to drive CFD and coupled-physics modeling across thermal, propulsion, charging, chassis, aerodynamic, and controls domains. You will connect models to instrumented data, define strategies, and enable faster, evidence-based design decisions for vehicle programs.

The role focuses on leading cross-functional modeling activities, building robust workflows, and correlating simulations with test data.

Competenze

Must have hands-on CFD and system-modeling experience.
Proven ability to lead model development and cross-functional decisions.
Strong data-analysis skills and engineering problem-solving mindset.
Deep knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer.
Bachelor’s or higher in Mechanical/Aerospace/Automotive/Thermal disciplines.
Experience levels: 8+ years with bachelor’s, 6+ with master’s, or 3+ with PhD.

Mansioni

Define modeling methods, fidelity, assumptions, uncertainty, and sign-off criteria.
Lead CFD and thermal-fluid simulations for HVAC and vehicle systems.
Develop and integrate mechanical, electrical, and thermal models (batteries, drive units, inverters, chargers, chassis, HVAC, controls).
Build reusable preprocessing, parameter-study, optimization, and post-processing workflows.
Collaborate with test teams to correlate models with data and close gaps to criteria.
Provide clear, decision-ready recommendations to stakeholders.
