Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking a Senior Engineer in Vehicle Dynamics Development to support testing, tuning, and validation of suspension, steering, braking, and wheel/tire systems from concept to production.

You will work with CAE, mechanical and software engineers, and system owners across the company to deliver world-class vehicle dynamics capabilities with a strong emphasis on data-driven decision making and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• BS/BA or MS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics principles.
• Experience with data-driven testing and calibration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and iterate vehicle hardware and software calibrations using data-driven and subjective methods.
• Install data acquisition systems on prototype vehicles and analyze results.
• Perform objective and subjective analysis of dynamics attributes on Lucid and benchmark vehicles.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable timely, data-driven decisions.
• Maintain and upgrade components of the vehicle dynamics prototype fleet.
