Job summary

Toyota North America is seeking a proactive Vehicle Planner for the Car & CUV lineup. The role reports to the Manager of Vehicle Product Planning and involves leading market analyses, business-case development, and cross-functional collaboration across TMNA and TMC.

You will guide pricing, feature content, and lifecycle management while coordinating with global teams and stakeholders in the US and Japan. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional work experience.
• Experience in pricing, product planning, sales planning, marketing strategy, strategic planning, consulting and/or related discipline(s).
• Experience in negotiation discussion and strategy.
• Working proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to promote cross-departmental alignment to ensure consistent application of processes and programs.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with stakeholders at all levels, internally and globally.
• A high degree of intellectual curiosity, analytical thinking, energy and drive in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to assimilate complex data and formulate concrete recommendations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedule for conference calls with TMC counterparts.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% in the U.S. and Japan.
• Driving ability with motor vehicle record acceptable by company standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute vehicle strategies for the Toyota Car & CUV lineup.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across TMNA and TMC.
• Perform market research and develop business cases with volume, pricing, features.
• Communicate concepts and action plans to senior management.
• Manage product lifecycle to maximize sales and profit while meeting customer needs.
• Represent US market needs with TMC during development timelines.
