Job summary

Magna Steyr USA is seeking a talented Senior Vehicle Integration Project Engineer to lead the design, development, validation, integration, and launch of vehicle systems and programs. You will work closely with OEM customers, Magna divisions, and global teams to drive technical excellence from concept through production.

This role requires 10+ years in automotive product development, strong DFMEA/DVP&R knowledge, and proven leadership in cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, mechatronics, automotive engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years in automotive product development or complete vehicle development.
  • Experience leading engineering projects and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of DFMEA, DVP&R, GD&T, and APQP processes.
  • Experience with OEM customers and global engineering organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design, development, validation, and launch of vehicle systems or complete programs.
  • Drive technical reviews with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Mentor engineers and ensure milestone commitments are met.
  • Develop and approve engineering requirements, specs, and performance targets.
  • Coordinate DFMEA, DVP&R, and validation plans across disciplines.
  • Ensure manufacturing feasibility, takt time targets, and cost objectives.
