Job summary

Ford Motor Company in the United States seeks a leadership engineer to drive cross‑functional vehicle systems development, prototype concepts, and manufacturing efficiency improvements. Requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering, 5+ years in automotive fields (EV preferred), CAD/FEA skills, Catia and 3D Experience; strong teamwork and communication in a dynamic, hybrid environment.

We offer extensive benefits, a compensation range of $150,200 to $283,500, and visa sponsorship

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 5+ years in automotive or related field; EV experience preferred.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals applicable to vehicle systems and manufacturing.
  • Excellent teamwork and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, hybrid environment.
  • Proficiency with CAD in assembly/part design; experience with Catia and 3D Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Design, and Manufacturing teams to develop innovative engineering solutions that enable integrated vehicle systems, efficient manufacturing processes, and key styling themes
  • Develop and prototype concepts that improve product cost, mass, efficiency, manufacturability, serviceability, and user experience
  • Drive cross functional product architecture trades between vehicle subsystems ( interiors, closures, chassis, thermal, powertrain, electrical distribution, etc.) to determine product direction
  • Identify and resolve geometrical incompatibilities between systems through first principles and concept 3D
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, technicians, and suppliers to procure and build physical properties

What you'll do...

  • 5+ years experience in automotive or related field, EV preferred

  • CAD proficiency in assembly and part design, FEA, and 2D drawings. Catia and 3D Experience preferred

This position is a leadership level 6 and ranges from $150,200-$283,500.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
