This role focuses on OEM leadership, functional safety translation, and defining vehicle interfaces for systems and compute platforms. The candidate will collaborate with product, design, and operations to specify the user experience while ensuring safety standards (ISO 26262) and

Qualifications

8+ years in automotive engineering, hardware systems or robotics hardware development with degree in engineering.
Direct experience with automotive OEMs and ability to navigate their cultures and cycles.
Expertise in automotive functional safety standards (ISO 26262) translating safety into detailed specs.
Strong hardware systems engineering with deep understanding of vehicle electrical architectures.

Responsibilities

Multi-Partner Alignment & OEM Leadership: align needs of multiple partners into a single set of vehicle requirements for OEMs.
Functional Safety Translation: translate safety concepts into detailed hardware requirements for OEM partners.
Interface & Architecture Definition: define mechanical, electrical, and software interfaces; lead architecture decisions for sensors and compute.
User Experience: work with product, design, and operations to specify the overall user experience as vehicle requirements.
