KBI Staffing is seeking an experience engineer to architect and implement real-time diagnostic monitors in modern C++. You will validate algorithms with HIL/ regression tests, author formal requirements, and drive improvements using large-scale telemetry data.

Qualifications include a 6–8 year track record in diagnostics or vehicle systems, a relevant engineering degree (Master’s preferred), and strong Python/C++ skills. This role is on-site in California, with Fleet Operations collaboration.

Qualifikationen

• 6–8 years of professional experience in diagnostics, embedded controls, or vehicle systems engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer/Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Aerospace, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of diagnostic standards and protocols (UDS/ISO 14229) and bus systems (CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet).
• Proficiency with Python for data analysis and visualization with large telemetry datasets.
• Strong C++ development skills in production or safety-critical environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present analyses to both engineering peers and non-technical stakeholders.

Aufgaben

• Architect and implement real-time diagnostic monitors in C++, including plausibility checks, degradation detection, and fault isolation logic.
• Author formal diagnostic monitor requirements (detection thresholds, debounce strategies, fault response actions).
• Leverage large-scale fleet data to characterize faults, tune detection thresholds, validate algorithm performance, and drive improvements.
• Lead investigation of field-reported faults using telemetry, logged data, and replay tools; identify root causes spanning hardware, firmware, calibration, and environmental factors.
• Produce clear technical specifications, design documents, and service procedures for Fleet Operations technicians.
• Monitor fleet-wide diagnostic KPIs; propose and implement algorithm refinements, new monitors, and process improvements.
