Job summary

Tata Technologies Ltd. in Greencastle, PA is seeking a Principal / Senior Vehicle Controls Engineer to lead development of advanced vehicle control strategies for off-highway mobile equipment. You will design, implement, test, and validate control systems and algorithms.

The role requires hands-on testing, CAN/J1939 communications, and experience with Vector CANalyzer. You will partner with cross-functional teams to bring concepts to production and ensure system verification and production

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics or related engineering discipline.
• 5–10 years experience in Vehicle Controls Engineering.
• Experience with CAN Bus networks and SAE J1939.
• Hands-on vehicle testing and troubleshooting experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement advanced vehicle control strategies and control algorithms.
• Design, integrate, and validate vehicle control systems for mobile machinery.
• Perform hands-on vehicle and machine testing to validate system performance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle control issues during development and validation.
• Support software and hardware integration activities.
• Analyze CAN communications and vehicle network behavior.
• Utilize Vector CANalyzer and related tools for diagnostics and validation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to bring products from concept to production.
• Support system verification, validation, and production readiness activities.
