Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation in Minnesota is seeking a Senior Controls Systems Engineer to lead advanced vehicle control systems research, development, verification, validation, testing, and production implementation for heavy-duty trucks.

You will establish requirements, develop strategies in virtual simulations, and transfer them to bench tests and field vehicles while collaborating with vendors, universities, and internal teams on autonomy, safety, electrification, and connectivity initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and 3+ years of related experience.
• Automotive or heavy-duty vehicle background is a plus.
• Experience with embedded software development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate advanced vehicle control systems and telematics for testing and production.
• Work with internal and external project teams, vendors, and universities on advanced technology programs.
• Establish requirements, resources, estimates, test plans, and milestones to meet project needs.
• Assist with feasibility studies, budgets, timelines for proposed projects.
• Provide support and insight to engineering design teams.
