Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation, a leading maker of heavy‑duty trucks, seeks a Senior Controls Systems Engineer to advance vehicle control systems, telematics, and autonomous concepts. You will develop, verify, and implement control strategies for Class 8 trucks in collaboration with cross‑functional teams, vendors, and universities.

You'll work on modeling, simulation, bench testing, and production transfer, with emphasis on safety, electrification, and connectivity across multiple programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and 3+ years of related experience; OR Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and 1+ years of related experience.
• Automotive or heavy-duty vehicle background with vehicle telematics experience; CAN bus experience is a plus.
• Embedded software development using C/C++, C#, or Python is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for advanced vehicle control systems and telematics research, development, verification and validation, testing, and production implementation.
• Establish requirements and develop strategies in virtual simulation environments and transfer to vehicle testing and production.
• Collaborate with internal/external teams, vendors, and universities on advanced technology programs and feasibility and funding efforts.
