Job summary

Rimkus Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Vehicle Collision Reconstructionist to investigate, analyze, and reconstruct motor vehicle collisions and prepare defensible expert opinions for litigation. The role requires strong technical writing, communication with clients and attorneys, and the ability to convey findings clearly.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or equivalent law enforcement experience.
• PE license and/or law enforcement background appears essential.
• ACTAR certification is preferred for credibility.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed reconstruction of collisions using engineering principles and CAE tools.
• Conduct field investigations and collision scene inspections.
• Inspect vehicles and mechanical systems involved in crashes.
• Analyze data from ECMs, EDRs/ACMs where available.
• Prepare defensible written reports and exhibits for litigation.
• Provide deposition and trial testimony as an expert witness.
